So I will admit I don't have much experience with onenote. One thing I liked about evernote (besides the tag structure) was retaining the originals of some attachments while throwing others (and resizing) into a note inline. Anyone have any insight into how ON handles this?

IDK. I rarely "attach" jpegs. Instead, I normally paste screen caps & so far, those all seem to display inline in ON, IME. Plus, any EN notes with screen caps that I've imported into ON display inline.
