I have not used it much either. Only created two Notes thus far. However, it does seem work similarly to EN and laid out in a similar fashion. I have not tested it's features such as collaboration yet.

I have been looking into this with Intellinote.

The key thing will be how to import an Evernote database. They have informed me they are looking into this at the moment.

I have also asked about security and this is their response:

So far, this looks a potentially good product.

From what I understand Intellinote is a web app only, so all your info is stored with them only, which is different from EN.

I can confirm that it is still available when off line.

However there are security issues that have been raised by Grumpy.

I need to be able to access my data offline, work on it, and upload what I wish later.

That is a good question and I don't know the answer.

Just had a search on my hard drive and don't seem to be able to find anything. Guessing that means you are right. But how can I access the data when off line? Bit beyond my ability I think.

Chris, isn't it the same as the mobile Evernote app with a premium account? You can access your notes offline on your smartphone (if I am not mistaken) but they are not stored on your phone. Or am I saying something stupid here?

I don't really see the benefit in moving from Evernote to Intellinote, unless you are trying to do more collaboration. From a security perspective, it really doesn't seem very trustworthy to me.

Here was their Terms of Service (TOS) yesterday.

"Stuff happens, things go wrong. Where a state allows, in no case will we be responsible for more than $50."

Here is their TOS today.

"We're sorry, but you seem to have stumbled on a page that doesn't exist. "

By the way, I think that they got this from Makerbot's terms of service. It's copy / pasted. Nah. I have plenty of complaints about the Evernote service (and its TOS), but I will say that they are professional about this stuff.

In order to access notes, when you have no internet access (regardless what app you're talking about), it requires that note to be on your phone.  That's the difference between Evernote's free & premium accounts.  Free accounts only have the header information & only pull the body of the note (from the cloud) when you pull up the note.  Premium subscribers can sync (when they have internet access) and any notebooks designated for offline use, will have all notes downloaded & stored on the phone.
