Hi I'm just in the process of trying Onenote and I'm already a user of Evernote, but like a lot of people have become alarmed by Evernotes direction
My initial thoughts
1. Having copied my notes across into onenote was surprised how many spelling errors showed up when I opened them. The spelling and grammar checker in Evernote is rubbish.
2.A good way to see the notebook structure you have created in the go to onenote.com on the web. This is also the best place to delete a notebook if it was created by mistake.
3. Having the same note in 2 different notebooks is a problem. I have a notebook called plants and in evernote this would be tagged with where the plants are in the garden e.g Back Garden, raised bed, front garden etc. I am trying the get around this by at the bottom of each note adding a reference to where they are and then using search to locate them. I did wonder about using a separate page with all the search terms in and then copy and paste one of these into search to get consistency.
4. It will not load on my android phone it needs a later version than ice cream sandwich, but I am replacing my phone soon. So will experiment with my tablet first.
5. I have created a notebook on my tablet, which I have been unable to delete even by using method 2.
6. You definitely need to load Onetastic into Onenote to get sorting etc.
